Laser cutting machine
A laser cutting machine takes the laser emitted from the laser source, passes it through an optical system,
and focuses it into a high-power-density laser When the laser beam hits the surface of the workpiece, it
heats the material to its melting or boiling point. At the same time, high-pressure gas coaxial with the beam
blows away the molten or vaporized metal. As the laser moves relative to the workpiece, it eventually forms
a cut in the material, achieving the cutting purpose.Laser cutting uses an invisible beam instead of traditional
mechanical blades. It’s precise, fast, not limited by
cutting patterns, helps save material with automatic nesting, gives smooth edges, and has low processing
costs. Over time, it’s gradually improving and replacing traditional metal cutting equipment. The mechanical
parts of the laser head don’t touch the workpiece, so it won’t scratch the surface. Laser cutting
is quick, produces smooth cuts, generally requires no post-processing, has a small heat-affected zone, minimal
deformation, narrow kerf (0.1mm–0.3mm), no mechanical stress, and no burrs. It’s highly precise, repeatable,
and doesn’t damage the material surface. With CNC programming,
it can cut any flat shape, even large sheets, without molds, saving time and money.
