A hydraulic press brake
A press brake is a sheet metal processing machine used to bend metal sheets to specific angles according
to process requirements.
It's widely used in areas like computer cabinets, engineering machinery, automobiles, and ships.
How it works:
A hydraulic press brake mainly consists of a frame, a workbench, and a clamping plate. The workbench is
made up of a base and a pressing plate;
the base is connected to the clamping plate via a hinge and has a coil inside. When powered, the coil
generates magnetic force,
clamping the sheet between the pressing plate and the base. Then, the hydraulic system drives the
upper and lower molds to close, completing the bending.
A CNC press brake uses the CNC system to control travel, angle, and position for high-precision processing.
Main types:
By drive type:
- Torsion bar synchronous press brake: simple structure, low cost, suitable for ordinary batch sheet metal processing.
- Electro-hydraulic servo press brake: high precision, can process thick and thin sheets, ideal for precision work.
- All-electric servo press brake: no hydraulic system, fast, low noise, environmentally friendly, suitable
for high-end precision sheet metal.
By automation level:
- Standard CNC press brake: manual loading and unloading, cost-effective.
- Flexible bending center / fully automatic bending unit: automatic material handling, positioning, and bending,
suitable for large-scale standardized production.
- Robotic bending workstation: integrates industrial robots for greater flexibility.
By tonnage and workbench size:
Commonly named as "tonnage-workbench length," like 130T-3200. Tonnage determines the sheet thickness it
can handle, and workbench length determines the maximum workpiece size.
Structural features:
- Full steel welded structure for high strength and rigidity.
- Hydraulic transmission with synchronized slider mechanism ensures bending accuracy.
- Inclined wedge deflection compensation improves processing precision.
- Interchangeable molds for different workpieces.
